According to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on fluorinated greenhouse gases, the sale of equipment that is not hermetically sealed and is filled with fluorinated greenhouse gases to end users may only take place if it is proved that the installation is carried out by a certified person.
Installation, service, maintenance, repair or decommissioning of equipment with F-gases may only be performed by a qualified person (certified technician) or a certified company. In Slovakia, these certificates are registered and issued by the Slovak Association for Cooling and Air Conditioning Technology (SZCHKT).
Without confirmation of professional installation by a certified person, it is not possible to claim a warranty on the device in case of failure related to unprofessional installation or refrigerant leak.
