Communication / Online Cloud

MiniHPC, which is connected to the local WiFi network and has internet access, sends measured data and configuration changes to the Cloud portal https://device.minihpc.com (if this option is enabled in the 9.4 Permissions) at an interval of once every 60 seconds.

To access these data, you need to create an account on the portal device.minihpc.com and log in to that account. You can then assign the MiniHPC to this account by scanning a QR code in the 9.3 WEB ID – either directly using your mobile phone’s QR code reader (the user will be redirected to a page with the WEB ID prefilled) or by scanning the QR code displayed on that page.

Device Assignment

You also need to fill in the fields for the Device Name and Description (for better clarity in the device list if the user manages multiple devices), as well as the Type of the device and its Power.

After successfully assigning the MiniHPC device to the user account, the device will appear in the list of devices on the main page.

Device List

The measured data can be displayed in clear graphs over a selected period. In the detailed statistics, the data is refreshed every minute as soon as it is received from the MiniHPC device.

Detailed Statistics

Daily statistics are updated shortly after midnight from the data collected the previous day. The data in the daily statistics is summarized according to its type. For example, temperatures are averaged, while in the case of energy, it is the total sum for the entire day, etc.

Daily Statistics

The MiniHPC can be configured almost entirely via the Cloud portal. Any configuration change made through the WEB is sent to MiniHPC once every 60 seconds, or at the moment when MiniHPC sends the measured data to the Cloud; as a response in that HTTP request, a new configuration is sent to MiniHPC (if any change was made).

Device Configuration

Every change in the MiniHPC settings is logged for later diagnostics. If a configuration change is made via the Cloud portal, the logs will display the email of the user who made the change at that time. When the change is written to MiniHPC (or when the settings are changed directly on MiniHPC), the logs will show the user as DEVICE.

Configuration - Logs

The MiniHPC settings are automatically backed up to the Cloud portal for easy recovery. The settings are automatically backed up at most once per day with a maximum of 5 backups. Older backups are automatically deleted unless they are locked. Each backup can be downloaded as a config.json file and later used for restoration at the bottom of the page. Locked backups are not automatically deleted.

Configuration - Backup

After selecting a specific backup, you must also choose which settings will be restored before the final restoration. By default, all items from the changed configuration are selected.

Configuration - Backup

If an error message occurs in MiniHPC, the error is also sent to the Cloud portal, and the user is informed of the error via an email notification (this option can be disabled in the settings).

Error Messages

The MiniHPC Cloud portal is designed to provide the user with as comprehensive an overview as possible of the heat pump’s operation. An unlimited number of devices can be added under one account (likewise, one device can be assigned to an unlimited number of accounts), which can be useful, for example, for installation companies that wish to have an overview of their installations and be able to remotely diagnose any issues and adjust settings for the user without having to visit the device physically. The user can see all changes in the logs, which are identified by the user who made those changes.

In the event of account theft or WEB ID compromise, it is necessary to generate a new WEB ID in the device menu and register it under your account. Users who still have access to the original WEB ID will lose access to new data sent by MiniHPC to the Cloud and will also lose the ability to modify the configuration of the device with the changed WEB ID.
