Menu 9.2 - WiFi AP

By enabling the WiFi AP option, MiniHPC will switch to a mode where it becomes an access point with the SSID: miniHPC. This access point can be connected to from a regular mobile phone or PC. Access to this access point is not password protected! When WiFi AP mode is enabled, a WiFi symbol will blink in blue in the upper right corner of the display next to the clock.

Upon connecting, on most mobile phones, a web page will automatically open offering the option to select a home 2.4GHz WiFi network.

If the web page with the WiFi settings does not open automatically, we recommend turning off mobile data on your phone and manually connecting to the MiniHPC IP address 192.168.4.1, where you can then open the menu in the upper right corner and select the WIFI page.

The WiFi AP option will be automatically disabled on MiniHPC 1 hour after activation (unless it is manually disabled beforehand).

and are required when logging in via the MiniHPC IP address on the local network to access the MQTT and File manager pages. The password is changed with every restart of MiniHPC or after 4 incorrect attempts at entering it. The currently valid password is always displayed on the screen.

After activating the WiFi AP option, a QR code will appear on the right side of the screen. By scanning it, the mobile phone will connect to the MiniHPC access point. After a successful connection, this QR code will automatically change, and its content will be the URL address of the MiniHPC device for WiFi network configuration (http://192.168.4.1/). By clicking on this QR code, you can switch between these two versions (SSID and URL).
