Some air conditioner models offer the possibility to set a night mode. In this mode, the output performance is reduced to a minimum, and the fan speed of the outdoor unit is also minimized.
– night mode is inactive.
– night mode is permanently active.
– the activation of night mode will be limited to a set time period. For example, if it is necessary to enable night mode during the night.
Activation of night mode will also be indicated in the status bar in the upper right corner by the icon 
.
This mode is supported, for example, by Gree Clivia, Gree Fairy, and other newer models when the control type IDU sim is selected. In the case of the PID mode, the compressor frequency is limited to 30 Hz, and if the outdoor unit supports night mode, the fan speed is also reduced.
In this mode, the air conditioner's performance is set to a minimum to ensure quiet operation. This may result in insufficient output for heating or cooling the space.
