Together with flow protection, MiniHPC also uses the monitoring of temperatures at the heat exchanger to protect against freezing. These temperatures can be adjusted.

specifies the minimum allowable heating water temperature at the heat exchanger outlet. Water temperature below this threshold triggers the error message FP.

– if the circulation pump is off (for example, due to heating/cooling being switched off) and a lower temperature than the set value is detected on the NTC sensor T6 (temperature on the thin refrigerant pipe), the circulation pump R3 will be activated as a precaution against freezing of the heat exchanger. This situation may occur when a multisplit outdoor unit is used.
